WhatsApp won’t support any of these phones

WhatsApp won’t support any of these phones after November 1st, 2021. These devices will not be able to use WhatsApp any longer probably by the end of this year.

WhatsApp is the most popular chatting app in the world with just over 3.5 billion users worldwide.

The app came in the markets competing with big companies like mxit and 2go but managed to triumph over their competition.

With all the expansion this chatting app it has enjoyed it means it needs to upgrade regularly for user satisfaction and experience.

That entails that some devices will no longer have the capacity to use the app due to the iOS or android level being unfortunately outdated and not meet the minimum standards for the chatting app.

These below devices and versions might no longer have access to WhatsApp by the end of 2021.

iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 5, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5S, iPhone 6, XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, and all phones with a lesser Android than 6.

If you’re still rocking an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S after all these years, it might be time for an upgrade. If you don’t use WhatsApp, maybe you can squeeze a few more years out of it yet.

Finally, while this likely won’t apply to any American readers, WhatsApp also supports phones running KaiOS 2.5.1 or later. This includes the JioPhone and JioPhone 2, which are available in India.

If you are one of the select few people that need to upgrade to keep using WhatsApp, the process is relatively easy. As long as you’re moving from iPhone to iPhone or Android to Android, you can easily transfer your chat history. WhatsApp published an entire page detailing the process on its website. If you’re moving from iOS to Android, the company just introduced a new tool to make this possible. We wrote about it just last week. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to move from Android to iOS quite yet, but this feature is in the works as well.
