Papoose recently released his September album, which includes a Lil Wayne collaboration called “Thought I Was Gonna Stop,” which was produced by Timbaland.
It’s a fast-paced track, clocking in at little under two minutes. Despite fans putting together their remixes of T.I.’s “What You Know” years ago, this is the first time Pap and Weezy have done a single together.
Papoose and Lil Wayne throw bars-on-bars, while Timbaland holds down the production with futuristic samples. What is the song’s one flaw? It’s far too brief. It is, however, a fantastic demonstration of Pap and Wayne’s wax delivery standard.
