I’m The Light Shinning In The Ghana Music Industry – Akwaboah expatiates on reason behind name of forthcoming album
Akwaboah Jnr., born Gladstorm Akwaboah Jnr., has divulged the reason behind the name of his forthcoming album ‘Lighthouse’
Music lovers were served with a single tagged ‘Ensesa’ off the yet-to-be releases project.

According to the highlife sensation, in an interview with NYDJ on #RYSENSHYNE on Y fm, Ensesa is a caution to every spouse to know what must be done should one get home from work and be welcomed by the other with a brawl.
He also talked about his forthcoming album having different genre of songs, ranging from typical highlife to reggae, hence doesn’t sound one way.
Disclosing the reason behind the name of the album, the 2019 VGMA ‘Record of the Year’ winner said ,”Basically what I’m trying to say is, everything that I’m doing I’m deeply rooted in it and then… I’m the light shinning in the Ghana Music Industry, but if you want great music just find your way back home.”

He further revealled that anytime there’s conversation about highlife, his feelings are mixed, so that he feels happy people have now seen the light but then gets sad because it’s not really played in Ghana.
He indicated that he’s left with just a song do add up to the ‘Lighthouse’ album, adding that this might have more songs than his debut album ‘Matters of the Heart’.
