The recipients of Nation Builders Corp have now received the much-anticipated news that the government promised.
The government has hinted at absorbing more employees of the Nation Builders’ Corps, according to the report convened, following clearance by the Ministry of Finance for 11,840 staff to be employed permanently to augment their existing staff strength at various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) (NABCO).
On a Kumasi-based radio station, Deputy Minister of Finance John Kumah disclosed that more of these temporary employees at some agencies will be given permanent jobs as promised by the government.
“Already, the government has absorbed half of NABCO trainees. The objective now is that every NABCO person will be made permanent in his or her place of work with this new directive from the government”, Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. John Kumah announced.
The Finance Minister stated in six different letters, four to the Interior Minister (for the Police, Fire Service, Immigration, and Prisons Service) and the remaining two to the Education and National Security Ministers, that the effective date for the persons to be recruited will be August 1, 2021.
“The Akufo-Addo government made it a priority to provide work for the unemployed youth.
During a telephone chat with the host, King Edward, Hon. John Kumah said, “It is an evidence that Ghana’s economy is doing better amidst Covid-19.”
